Placeteco specializes in precision machining of non-metallic materials for the aerospace & defense sector. We machine composites, thermoplastics, insulation materials, and other non-metallic materials. Our manufacturing capabilities allow us to efficiently produce intricate, tight-tolerance parts to customer specifications.

Placeteco manufactures numerous aerospace parts using polyurethane casting. We work with both rigid and flexible polyurethane foam. This process involves mixing and pouring liquid polyurethane into a mold, where it cures to form the desired shape, with non-cosmetic areas machined as to meet dimensional tolerances.

Placeteco delivers cost-effective assemblies through vertically integrated secondary processes including, mechanical assembly (rivets, nut plates, helicoils), subassembly integration, adhesive bonding, painting and upholstery.

With over 35 years of thermoforming experience, Placeteco has built extensive expertise in manufacturing aerospace parts through vacuum forming. Our capabilities allow us to thermoform parts as large as 4 ft × 8 ft and offer fully integrated in-house services, including assembly, integration, and painting.

Placeteco specializes in manufacturing out-of-autoclave composite aerospace parts. Prepreg layup is performed in a climate-controlled clean room, after which the parts are cured in an oven. We also have the capability to fabricate composite parts through resin infusion with dry fiber.

Placeteco is developing FDM 3D printing as a manufacturing capability for production-grade aerospace parts. As part of this initiative, we are establishing printing parameters for ULTEM™ 9085 material and conducting mechanical testing on printed test specimens to characterize material performance.
